About me
I am a father, a husband, a friend and a brother. Family life can be hectic but I wouldn't trade it for the world! I serve God above all else, I protect my family and I am a servant to the community I reside. I am the son of a retired Firefighter of 40 years and it runs deep in my DNA. I love my job and what I do on duty as well as off duty.
I am a career fireman by trade and a leather craftsman by heart. Leather crafting has become something I love to do and it allows me to show my creativity side, from designing new and exciting ideas or building the typical gear we carry on the job. I think we can all have pride in our job and what better way to express our very own unique individualism than with custom leather!
Leather, in its natural state and with minimal details, is a force to be reckoned with. It can endure anything you dare to throw its way. But my creativity can't resist adding some subtle touches to accentuate your unique character!
WHAT WE DO HERE
I make leather gear for the career fireman, the volunteers, or the everyday man or woman. I want to provide the best product for my customers and I do actually strive to make the best leather crafts, that's not just a catchy thing to say. I spend HOURS and DAYS sometimes working on one product just to make sure it's right. I am not here to mass produce products and push out items as fast as possible just to make quick buck. I hand pick the best leather hides to be able to bring the best quality to you, the customer. From the leather I chose, to the hardware I attach to it, no corners are cut and no short cuts are taken. I Love the smell and feel of leather and in my humble opinion, no other material lasts longer. With the proper care and cleaning, your leather can last generations! That's a proven fact, that's not just me saying that!
HOW I GOT STARTED
I was looking online one day for a very specific leather sheath and I spent hours and days to no avail until I had a simple thought, "I'll try and make one!" So I purchased a very basic and cheap leather crafting kit and went to work. It was hard, I struggled to figure out what I was doing and I wanted to quit rather soon. But I am rather a persistent person and I finally created what I desired. It was a good looking multi-tool sheath and it was noticed by others. Not too long after, I was receiving request to make others from co-workers and it snowballed from there. Before I knew it, I was getting messages weekly if I could make this or that. I made quite the array of leather items from sheaths, holsters, belts and to other items. I decided to create a name for myself and hired a guy I knew to design a logo. After talking with another leather craftsman, who has been in the business for 25 years, I decided to open this online store. It's pretty basic at the moment and still growing. I am always having ideas to creatively add new and exciting items so be sure to keep an eye out!
